12 Days of Anime: 2015 Food Edition – Day 7

Pizza - Koufuku Graffiti 10 - 082015 was the certainly the year of orgasmic eating, with countless characters engaging in what can only described as the gratuitous consumption of food. But hey, I run an anime food blog, so what am I complaining about?

For food in anime, 2015 was an awesome year, full of so many delicious dishes. So, it would be remiss of me if I didn’t focus at least one of the 12 Days of Anime on the show that kicked it all of for the year: Koufuku Graffiti. And, specifically, can we talk about pizza?

Salami mushroom pizza cheese crust - Koufuku Graffiti 10Koufuku Graffiti aired in the 2015 winter season, getting the ball rolling early for the other food anime that would come later in the year. One of my favorite episodes was the one where the girls finally meet the upstairs neighbor and share a pizza with her.

The gooey cheese, the four different toppings, and the feelings of friendship amongst the girls made this episode a lot of fun to watch. Koufuku Graffiti was all about the concept that “cooking for and eating with the people you love makes food taste all that much better”, and it’s certainly a concept that I can get behind.

What was your favorite dish from Koufuku Graffiti?

What do you like on your pizza?

I know we’ve been talking a lot about pizza, but can I also just mention how delicious all the other food in this anime was? Here are some of the end cards (these are just the end cards!! Just imagine what the food in the actual anime looks like!!!) to make you drool…
